The Barn opens fifth location Friday — this time in Center Moriches

The Barn's newest location -- in Center Moriches.

The Barn is bringing its converted Dairy Barn café concept to Center Moriches on Friday, owner Irena Angeliades told Greater Long Island.

It’s The Barn’s fifth location overall and third to open in Suffolk in recent months.

The new drive-thru café at 490 Main St. was put through its final paces Wednesday, with crews replacing the driveway. Angeliades confirmed the shop is ready to go.

The Center Moriches opening coincides with the launch of The Barn’s spring menu, headlined by the Key Lime Bucket — a key lime-vanilla latte dressed with white matcha drizzle, vanilla cold foam, graham cracker crumbles and a wedge of key lime pie.

The seasonal lineup also includes the Strawberry Caramel Cloud and Cherry Blossom lattes.

The Barn this spring is also debuting several new dirty sodas — carbonated drink builds that are meant to be sweet and layered. Coconut Raspberry, Lavender Lemon Cake Pop and Blueberry Citrus are among the new ones.

Rolling with the seasons

The spring menu comes on the heals of The Barn’s highly popular St. Patrick’s Day menu, which featured the Leprechaun Matcha, the Pot O’ Gold Latte served in a leprechaun boot cup, and the Emerald Isle Dirty Soda.

During the fall, The Barn’s Pumpkin Spice Latte — served inside of real small pumpkin — went viral.

As with The Barn’s other locations — in Patchogue, East Northport, Huntington and Ronkonkoma — the Center Moriches shop occupies a former Dairy Barn property, the regional drive-through chain that dotted Long Island for decades before shuttering its last stores in 2018.

Angeliades’ goal, she said, has been to reinvent the locations for a new generation while maintaining the nostalgia craved by older ones.

Angeliades said more locations are in the pipeline —with Massapequa (4340 Merrick Road) next.
