The Coop Nashville Kitchen and Bar opens in Farmingdale, with dueling pianos

|

A touch of Nashville has landed right in the heart of Farmingdale’s downtown.

This summer, Kick N’ Chicken has undergone a transformation emerging as The Coop Nashville Kitchen and Bar, situated at 342 Main St.

Upon stepping inside, visitors are greeted with two distinct experiences. On one side, you’ll find the eatery and takeout counter. Meander over to the other half, and you’ll discover a cozy lounge fitted with a well-stocked bar, live music, and interactive piano performances.

“The whole inside is different, the bar side was storage,” said Alec Fox, marketing manager of The Coop, on the remodeling. “Now it’s a beautiful bar and lounge.”

Every Thursday, the venue hosts a dueling piano show, complemented by performances from local artists who delight patrons with their talent. Here’s a preview:

When it comes to cuisine, The Coop serves up an array of dishes reminiscent of the flavors found along Nashville’s iconic Broadway. Think baby back ribs, wings, and, of course, the signature Nashville hot chicken sandwich.

Fox said that the inspiration behind The Coop stemmed from the owners’ admiration for the vibrant bar and restaurant culture in Nashville. “They wanted to bring a taste of Nashville to Long Island,” he said.

Additionally, Fox expressed the team’s enthusiasm for their daily takeout specials, which feature options such as roasted chicken and generously portioned family-style meals.

The Coop is open Monday through Wednesday, 11 a.m. until 10 p.m., Thursday 11 a.m. until 12 a.m., Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. until 2 a.m. and Sunday, noon to 10 p.m.
