The Emporium announces it’s ‘Out of Business’ in Patchogue

Update:

L.I. restaurateur taking over Emporium building, looks to open midsummer

Original story: The Emporium nightclub on Railroad Avenue in Patchogue is no longer in operation, according to its website.

“Out Of Business,” the site reads. “The Emporium Is Officially Closed.  Sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you for your understanding.”

Its Facebook page is also down.

The announcement comes less than two months after Emporium co-owner Vincent Trimarco told GreaterPatchogue the team was canceling shows to free up the space to be subdivided for a steakhouse.

The March cancellations had sparked rumors of the nightclub’s demise.

“It’s going to be exciting for the area and very unique, but that’s all I can say right now,” Trimarco said at the time.

He could not be immediately reached for comment Friday.

The Emporium opened in September 2012.
