The first-ever ‘A Taste of Stony Brook Village’ is set for Feb. 26

|

Food and wine tasting, music, giveaways, and raffles are all part of Stony Brook Village’s first-ever ladies night called A Taste of Stony Brook.

The village, which is run by the Ward Melville Heritage Organization (WMHO), will be presenting the event on Tuesday, Feb. 26, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.  During that time, the center’s 20-plus businesses will be offering something to the revelers, from a Chinese Auction to cheese tastings at Brew Cheese to a fashion show at Chico’s (the full list of participants are below.)

There will also be 90’s themed music throughout, as well as a special performance by famed-artist Roberta Fabiano who has played for five presidents and the Queen of England during her career.

“All of the proceeds from the night will be donated to breast cancer research at Stony Brook Medicine,” said WMHO communication manager, Marie Gilberti.

According to Gilberti, A Taste of Stony Brook is an extension on its fundraising efforts of Walk of Beauty— an annual race held in Stony Brook that has raised nearly $1.5 million for breast cancer research over the last 25 years.

The tickets for the outing are $35 each, which can be purchased online.  For further information, call 631-689-5888.
