Tails were wagging, tasty beer was drank, and a bunch of money was raised during the first-ever Tails & Ales fest in Bay Shore over the weekend.
The festival, held at Destination Unknown Beer Company, was presented by Ollie’s Angels Animal Rescue on Sunday.
From 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., over 250 frequented the festival, enjoying food, beer, the puppy kissing booth, raffle baskets, and 50/50 raffle. There were also doggies up for adoption.
In total, the day raised over $10,000 for the animal rescue that is dedicated to saving abused, abandoned, and neglected dogs across the country.
“It was a great experience, success and super fun day,” said Jennifer Andrews, of Ollie’s Angels Animal Rescue.
Because the fest was a hit, Andrews says another event may be in the nearby future.
