The Hero Joint is ringing in its first year in Patchogue by slashing prices, launching new fall menu items and introducing craft beer on tap. There’s also 12 packs to go.

“It has been a great year,” said The Hero Joint owner John Murray. “We have met so many great friends and have really honed our craft and are looking forward to an even better second year!”

To mark the occasion, The Hero Joint is rolling out seasonal sandwiches and other fall menu items, such as the Turkey Thanksgiving Chowder, which is made from a gravy stuffing base and loaded with turkey and craisins.

And among the new sandwiches on the board is the Jalapeño Popper Grilled Cheese (picture above), which consists of roasted jalapeño, bacon cream cheese and cheddar on sourdough bread.

As for the new pricing, now at The Hero Joint, no sandwich is more than $9.99.

That pricing will remain in place until further notice, said Murray.

The Hero Joint is also accepting Thanksgiving catering orders for their most popular sandwich, The Bird, which is packed with house-roasted turkey, homemade cranberry sauce and house-made stuffing on marbled sourdough.

The gourmet sandwich shop, whose address is 74 B East Main Street in Patchogue, is located directly behind Kilwin’s, across from Patchogue Theatre. The shop can be accessed either through Kilwins or from the back parking lot, next to Patchogue-Medford Library. (Scroll down for map.)
