The Ice Festival returns to Port Jefferson this Jan. 27-28

|

Get ready to bundle up — it’s the return of Port Jefferson’s Ice Festival.

The event, which runs on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 27-28, from noon to 5 p.m., features ice carving demonstrations, family-friendly games, horse-drawn carriage rides throughout the downtown, as well as ice skating at the Village Center.

The live ice carvings will take place:

  • Noon at Mill Creek Road
  • 2 p.m. at Meadow Parking Lot
  • 4 p.m. at Pocket Park

The ice carvings will be created by Long Island’s Rich Daly, a renowned sculptor and Guinness Book of World Record holder.

Now in its fifth annual year, the festival was brought to life by the Port Jefferson Business Improvement District. Click here to see a full map of all the activities.

The Ice Festival will be happening on the same days as the popular Port Jefferson Mac & Cheese Crawl, a sold-out event that features cheesy tastings at 16 restaurants in Port Jeff.\
