This isn’t goodbye, it’s see you later.
And under slightly different circumstances.
The Linwood Restaurant & Cocktails, which opened at 150 E. Main St. in June of 2019, has announced that Saturday, March 29, will be its last day.
The spot is closing for renovations and will be reopening as Bar Lucy, it was announced on social media.
“The ownership and management will stay the same and, of course, Chef Henry & our General Manager Sarah will remain at the helm,” The Linwood team first announced on Facebook and Instagram on Feb. 5.
“Our new concept is called BAR LUCY and the vision is a sexy “Neighborhood Italian” restaurant serving a mix of red sauce classics, modern Italian dishes, your favorites from The Linwood, artisanal pizzas, and hand-crafted cocktails and libations. We are bursting with passion and enthusiasm for this new project and hope you will follow along on this journey. More details to come!”
They also released these renderings of the planned Bar Lucy:

“Come down this week and celebrate with us,” The Linwood’s chef said in an Instagram video that was released Saturday, March 22. “Thank you so much for all the love.
“We’re really fortunate and grateful to be here on Main Street in Bay Shore, and to see the diversity grow and the town change and it’s time to change with it,” added the GM, Sarah. “We’re excited, and the heart of The Linwood will still be alive and well at Bar Lucy …
“You’ll see some new faces but the Linwood will live on through Bar Lucy and we’re excited to have you.”
