The Miller Place-Rocky Point St. Patrick’s Day will not happen in 2021

|

For the second year in a row, the popular Miller Place-Rocky Point St. Patrick’s Day parade has been canceled due to COVID-19 concerns.

Friends of St. Patrick, the event organizers, made the announcement this week.

“The safety of our marchers and supporters must take precedence over the joy the parade has been bringing to the North Shore of Brookhaven Town for over 70 years,” reads a statement from the group.

The parade, which typically draws thousands of spectators along the parade route on Route 25A, looks to return in 2022.

“We look forward to bringing the parade back, bigger and better than ever, in March 2022,” said the Friends of St. Patrick.
