The Tap Room has been doing Wednesday Night Trivia for years, and the state’s shutdown isn’t going to stop it any longer, owners say.
This Wednesday, the restaurant/pub will host its first Virtual Trivia Night.
Here’s how it works:
You pick between two food and booze packages (listed below) from any Tap Room location: Patchogue, Bay Shore, or Massapequa Park. The order can be picked up; delivery is offered to those who live within three miles of the restaurants.
After the food is secured, inside the bag will be a trivia code that gives patrons access to a live-streamed game hosted by the people behind The Tap Room. That streaming website is Crowdpurr.com.
Trivia starts at 8 p.m.
Each question will be timed, and speed matters. Those fastest to answer will receive more points.
Whoever totals the most points will win the following prizes:
- First place: $50 gift card to The Tap Room
- Second place: $25 gift card to The Tap Room
- Third place: A free virtual hug from the night’s host
Each week, the theme of the game will change. The inaugural online trivia night theme is “Name that forehead.” Check The Tap Room’s Facebook weekly for the new themes.
