|

Young people, it’s your time to shine at Theatre Three.

The Port Jefferson Village playhouse is looking for actors between the ages of 8 and 17 to perform in its 35th annual production of  “A Christmas Carol.” There are 18 actors needed for the Charles Dickens’ play.

The audition date is Tuesday, Sept. 25, at 7 p.m. The rehearsals will then begin late September on weeknights, as well as throughout the weekends. The performances run Nov. 14 to Dec. 29 at Theatre Three.

The young actors are asked to appear in half of the performances, including the student matinees, according to the theatre.

“Theatre Three’s production of Dickens’ ‘A Christmas Carol’ is an opportunity for young performers to work alongside a professional company in its critically acclaimed holiday tradition,” said Jeffrey Sanzel, Theatre Three’s artistic director.

“Over the thirty-four year history, hundreds of children have shared this exciting and educational experience.”

Here are the readings for the audition.
