Without a doubt, this ongoing Great South Bay Music Festival is going to dominate the weekend in the Greater Patchogue coverage area, which runs from Brookhaven to Bayport.

The music fest kicked off Thursday night with performances from top female artists Colbie Caillat and Christina Perri, and others. (See 20 photos from Thursday’s festival.)

The party continues Friday, when headliners 311 and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones take the main Blue Point Brewing Company stage. Lotus and the Chris Robinson Brotherhood are performing Saturday. The show wraps up Sunday with headliners Electric Hot Tuna, Lou Gramm, Jefferson Starship, among others.

General admission tickets are $32.50 online and $39 at the box office at Shorefront Park.

Aside from the headliners, about 20 Long Island bands, several from Patchogue, will be peforming.

The Patchogue-based bands include:

Soundswell

Noah’s Arc

Cassandra House

Funknasty

Shecky and the Twangtones

Funkin A

Miles to Dayton

There’s also a free Friday night concert in the park at the Bellport Marina with the Isotope Stompers, a dixieland jazz group. And Rapper DMX is performing at the Emporium in Patchogue Village.

Non-music events include Saturday’s 6 p.m. Indoor Vendors Fair at Pat-Med High School to benefit the school’s robotics team, which is trying to raise money to make up for lost Motorola grants.

Always check GreaterPatchogue.com’s community calendar for news and events, and to load up your own event.
