Toast Coffeehouse to expand in Patchogue, add retail and catering space

|

Toast Coffeehouse is expanding in Patchogue.

On Tuesday, the Patchogue Village Planning Board approved plans for the popular breakfast eatery to add a private catering area and retail space in the adjacent storefront that once held The Dusty Attic Shop.

“It is going to be a party room for catered events,” said Toast’s owner, Terence Scarlatos.

The space is 2,000 square feet.

When the room isn’t being used for private  parties, Toast will be utilizing the front portion of the store to sell a variety of merchandise.

The retail inventory will inclide items that associate with the local area, such as GreaterPatchogue t-shirts, Scarlatos told Planning Board members.

In addition to adding the catering and retail space, Toast also announced it will be adding a solar room off the southern end of the building at 46 East Main Street. Once completed, the room will be used year-round and be large enough to hold 32 seats.
