The nonprofit Harmony Café is getting set to host a free Thanksgiving dinner at Toast Coffeehouse in Patchogue on Tuesday, Nov. 24.
That’s two days before Thanksgiving.
“It will be a free event that will help various community members hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic,” said the nonprofit’s founder, Rosemarie McCarthy.
Typically, Harmony Café operates under a pay-what-you-can donation model. Such was the case last Thanksgiving time at Toast Coffeehouse. “We strive to do this in a socially engaging environment that is free of judgement,” McCarthy said.
But this year, the organization is seeking sponsors to help cover all the costs. The community dinner runs from 6 to 9 p.m., with live music.
