Torte Jeff to close after Thanksgiving, ending 5 years of serving pies in Port Jeff

|

The beloved pie shop in Port Jefferson, Torte Jeff, will soon close its doors.

Lisa Harris, the owner of the bakery located on East Main Street, announced her decision to close the business in a heartfelt Facebook post.

“Before you hear it elsewhere, sadly, I have made the decision to close Torte Jeff Pie Co. & Bakery after Thanksgiving,” she wrote on her personal page last week.

This Thanksgiving will mark Torte Jeff’s sixth — and final — holiday season in business.

The shop will accept Thanksgiving orders until Nov. 18, with pickups scheduled from Nov. 25 to 27. To place your final orders, call 631-456-1532.

“We will continue selling all of our retail items at 50% off while supplies last,” Harris shared in her post.

Harris opened Torte Jeff in the fall of 2016, transforming the 650-square-foot space at 218 East Main Street, which previously housed the artisanal marketplace, The Shelf.

Since then, the shop has been a cherished part of the community, offering freshly baked pies daily along with an array of treats, including cookies, cakes and gift baskets.
