The beloved Charles Dickens Festival is back in downtown Port Jefferson this weekend, bringing festive cheer — and road closures — to the area.
The Suffolk County Police Department has issued a travel advisory, alerting drivers to early morning road closures designed to accommodate the festival’s activities. Here’s what you need to know before heading out:
Road closures: East Main Street will be shut Saturday for the festival’s opening parade from 10:30 a.m. to noon. On Sunday, Main Street will be shut from 4:15 p.m. to 6 p.m., according to the event’s organizer.
