Donald Trump is once again showing his support for Bruce Blakeman in his bid to become governor of New York.
The President gave the Nassau County Executive a second endorsement in a video message at the New York State Republican Convention in Garden City on Wednesday, according to a video posted on X (below).
Trump praised Blakeman’s leadership in Nassau, calling him a strong advocate for public safety and highlighting his work on economic issues as qualities that would serve the state well in a gubernatorial challenge.

Trump had already publicly backed Blakeman when U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik surprisingly suspended her campaign last year, saying Blakeman is “MAGA all the way” and offering his complete and total endorsement for governor.
As Nassau County executive, Blakeman has emphasized hiring police officers and cooperation with law enforcement agencies, elements Trump highlighted in his endorsement message as part of Blakeman’s commitment to law and order.
The president also noted Blakeman’s plans to reduce taxes and regulations and to attract jobs and economic growth to New York. Blakeman was set to formally accept the state party’s nomination at the convention — also on Wednesday at the Garden City Hotel.
