There’s a drive-thru Trunk or Treat event happening Sunday, Oct. 25, from 1 – 3 p.m. outside Hagerman Fire Department in East Patchogue.

It’s free for families and being presented by the Angels of Long Island.

But the Angels are accepting unwrapped holiday toys, gift card donations, as well as empty cans and bottles for deposit.

Prizes are being awarded for “the most spooktacular trunks.” Anyone interested in volunteering to hand out goodies should contact [email protected] for a parking spot.

“We also have about 25 to 30 sponsors that will be giving out treats from their cars,” said Angels of Long Island co-founder Debbie Loesch. “Families can just come through with their trunks open and items will be placed inside, in individual bags so the kids can stay in their cars.”

At the end, Caroll’s Kitchen will be providing a free lunch for everyone in attendance.

The nonprofit Angels of L.I. was founded in 2015 with the sole purpose of helping fellow Long Islanders who have fallen on hard times.

These events help families but also serve as fundraisers.

The fire department is located at 510 Oakdale Avenue in East Patchogue. Food allergy-friendly treats will also be available upon request.
