Much to the chagrin of their loyal customer base, the owners of T’s Chicken and Fish food truck are closing down operations in Bellport.
Ownership made the announcement via social media, noting to customers that their “enthusiasm for our food has made this journey unforgettable!”
The truck had held court at 1700 Montauk Highway from Tuesday through Saturday, serving up such favorites as T’s Chicken Bacon Chipotle, T’s Lump Crab Cake and the truck’s Chicken & Waffle Sandwich that featured its signature maple aioli.
“I am incredibly grateful for all the support, love, and amazing memories we’ve shared,” read the Facebook post from ownership. “Thank you for being part of our story.”
The post hinted that another venture may be on the horizon. “Stay tuned for what’s next.”
No longer open for takeout, the business is now selling off its inventory of chicken and fish breading for $10 a bag, as well as what’s remaining of its sauces — including lemon pepper, sweet hot chili, honey dog and teriyaki — for $10 a portion.
“We are Def going to miss that chicken, best wishes and good luck in the future,” commented Claudia Backman, one of many customers who shared their disappointment about the move.
