Two more Long Island players strike lottery gold on same day

For the second time in three days, Long Island merchants sold two big-payout lottery tickets on the same day, New York Lottery announced.

Lovely Card and Gift in Hicksville sold a winning ticket in the Wednesday, June 12, CASH4LIFE drawing that is worth a whopping $1 million. Meanwhile, the 7-Eleven at 901 Jericho Turnpike in Huntington Station sold a TAKE 5 evening drawing prize-winner worth $17,215.

The winning numbers for the CASH4LIFE game are drawn from a field of one to 60, with daily drawings that occur about 9 p.m. The Cash Ball is drawn from a separate field of one to four. In Wednesday’s drawing, the winning numbers selected were 8, 11, 27, 49 and 60; the Cash Ball was 1.

The latest TAKE 5 winning ticket sold on Long Island matched the five numbers selected in the evening drawing: 7, 15, 18, 30 and 38. TAKE 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39. The drawing is televised twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

On Monday, lottery officials announced, a TAKE 5 ticket evening drawing ticket worth $17,000 was sold at the 7-Eleven located at 1999 New York Ave in Huntington Station. Also on Monday, a prize-winning Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was bought at Matos Sons Food Market, located at 271 Hempstead Tpke. in Elmont.
