|

Uniondale’s UFC Bantamweight Champion Aljamain Sterling returned to his old stomping grounds Tuesday to give back to his local community.

He helped train Nassau County wrestlers who’ll be headed to the New York State high school wrestling championships this weekend in Albany.

Sterling spent about two hours sparring and giving advice to the dozens of wrestlers there.

“I’m excited for all these guys,” Sterling told greaterlongisland.com during the training.

Sterling himself is prepping for a big championship. He has title fight rematch against interim champ Petr Yan. Read all about it below.
