Value of art education in Bayport-Blue Point is clear; check out the students’ amazing work

|

Art education strengthens problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, according to Americans for the Arts. It’s also the opinion of countless other education organizations, educators, philosophers and governmental leaders.

Art instruction augments what’s taught in social studies, language arts and science classes, helping children develop motor, language, social and decision-making skills and encouraging inventiveness.

Based on the art work featured below of elementary and middle school students in Bayport-Blue Point schools, the district’s education leaders know well the value of art education.

The district regularly posts the art of its students on their Twitter feed. Take a tour below of some of the fantastic work the youngsters have pulled off this fall. Be sure to click on each box to see them all.
