The Town of Brookhaven is investigating after the men’s bathroom at Kaler’s Pond Park in Center Moriches was found completely destroyed.
Town Supervisor Dan Panico shared a video of the damage on social media Wednesday morning, calling it “totally destroyed.”

“This morning our parks department crew visited Kaler’s Pond to find the men’s room totally destroyed,” Panico wrote in his caption. “We are going to work with our police, and if and when we catch those responsible, we will ensure full restitution for this damage and maximum fines under the law.”
The supervisor emphasized that the town intends to take a hard stance against vandalism.
“There needs to be penalties for crime and in Brookhaven we do not coddle criminals, we make examples out of them,” Panico said.
Kaler’s Pond Park is a community spot in Center Moriches, popular for its nature trails, playground and pond access.
Panico said police are currently investigating.
