Vibrant Blends bringing smoothies, protein treats to Bay Shore

Saturday’s grand opening will include free samples, raffles, discounts and games.

Bay Shore is getting a fresh burst of flavor and nutrition.

Vibrant Blends, a smoothie and protein bar known for its clean, protein-packed offerings, is opening its second location in the hamlet, with a grand opening bash set for Saturday, April 11.

Owned by father-and-son duo Jose and Danny Valverde, Vibrant Blends has built a following in Patchogue over the past eight years.

The new location will debut with a menu featuring 12 smoothies and shakes, all made with plant-based protein and no added sugars.

“The peanut butter smoothie and Berry Blast are probably our two most popular,” Danny told Greater Long Island. “Not only do they taste great, but they are so colorful.”

In addition to smoothies, the shop offers nearly a dozen energizing teas, fortified with B12 and aloe vera, along with plant-based protein snacks like donuts, crepes and waffles — which Danny calls both “delicious and healthy.”

Expansion had long been part of the plan, Danny said, once the right location came along.

“Bay Shore has nothing like this, so we wanted to bring something different to the community,” he said.

The team held a soft opening last week, drawing strong early feedback.

“We got great feedback, and people keep coming back and wanting more,” Danny said.

Vibrant Blends, located at 1527 Brentwood Ave. in the shopping plaza between New Jersey and Pennsylvania avenues, is open seven days a week, starting at 7 a.m. Hours run until 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 5 p.m. on Saturdays and noon Sundays.
