Patchogue’s Christian Guardino has made it to the Top 20 contestants on Season 20 of “American Idol.”
And now he has eyes set on the next round: Top 14.
Last episode, which aired yesterday, Guardino impressed the competition’s celebrity judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan with his rendition of classic John Lennon song “Imagine.”
His performance brought Perry, one of the best selling musical artists of all-time, to tears.

Fans overnight were given the chance to vote for their favorite performances to see who moves on. The Top 14 will be announced during tonight’s episode, airing on ABC at 8 p.m.
A viewing party will be held tonight at 7:30 p.m. at PeraBell in Patchogue, the restaurant Guardino’s uncle co-owns.
