The Sunflower Festival at Manorville’s Waterdrinker Family Farm is in full swing … umm … bloom.
Acres and acres are crowded with giant sunflowers dancing in the breeze at the family fun farm, located just south of the Long Island Expressway at Exit 69. The festival is open every day from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and until sunset on Fridays and Saturdays.
What’s brand new this year is the farm’s Sunflower Maze, which is off limits to picking.
The entry fee into the sunflower field is $15, and you can take home some of the crop for $2 a stem. Admission is free for children 2 and under. The farm is dog friendly, so long as you keep your pooch on a leash.
Waterdrinker also features barnyard animals, mini golf, tractor pedal cars, an obstacle course for children, a wooden playground area and tons of other family photo spots. The new Long Island Farm Brewery is also located on site and is featuring sunflower inspired beer this month.
