Weather delays Family Fun Night in Patchogue by an hour

|

Friday night’s Family Fun Night in Patchogue, which is like an Alive After Five entirely for kids, will be delayed by an hour due to rain, the organizers have announced.

The street festival will begin at 6 p.m. on East Main Street, instead of 5 p.m., though the roads will be closed to traffic starting at 5 p.m.

The fun-filled event includes kids games, snacks, face-painting, a train ride and vendors that line East Main Street from Ocean Avenue to the Capital One Plaza.

Attendees are also encouraged to donate Scott’s-brand toilet paper for the big TP Pyramid that’s going to be happening at the next Alive After Five on July 19. The donations can be made at the Congregational Church at 95 East Main Street.

And for the first time this summer, there will be two Family Fun Nights, each run by the Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce’s business promotion committee.

The second Family Fun Night is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 10.
