Rain and clouds did little to wash out the enthusiasm of Connetquot Central School District
students who bid farewell to summer and returned to the classroom this week for the 2022-2023 school year.
Classes kicked off on Tuesday in each of the district’s buildings, with Connetquot Superintendent Lynda Adams reporting a smooth opening.
“The first day of school brings the promise of great things to come. We are looking forward to another year of exciting growth and achievement,” Adams wrote in a letter to Connetquot students prior to the first day of school. “We are committed to working diligently with parents, teachers and district staff to ensure you all have access to the education and tools you need to succeed.”
