Just when you thought hot yoga couldn’t get any harder — Ash Hot Yoga Babylon introduced Inferno Hot Pilates Level 2 earlier this week.

For the uninitiated, inferno hot pilates, or IHP for short, is an energetic class that features high intensity/ low impact interval training while the heat is cranked up.

Back in 2017, when the West Babylon hot yoga studio opened, owner Kelee Zaccardi was one of the firsts to bring Inferno Hot Pilates Level 1 to Suffolk County.

The difference between Level 1 and Level 2 is that in the latter students will be incorporating bands and weights into their workout.

Except to get your sweat on during the 45-minute class.

The class temperature reaches 95 degrees with 40% humidity. The purpose of the heat is to warm the body up faster, allowing your body to detox, says Zaccardi.

“If you want to improve muscle tone, cardio strength and chisel your core fast — sign up for this class today,” said the studio’s owner.

The classes run weekly on Mondays at 6:15 p.m., Wednesdays at 9:30 a.m., and Thursdays at 5:15 p.m.
