West Meadow Beach parking lot temporarily closes for improvements

|

Stony Brook’s West Meadow Beach is getting new infrastructure.

Beginning on Monday, March 18, the Town of Brookhaven announced it has closed off the beach’s public lot while construction starts to add new curbs, sidewalks, plantings, and pavilion renovations. According to a Brookhaven Town spokesperson, the upgrades are part of the Brookhaven Town’s Parks Capital Improvement Program.

“During the parking lot closure, residents will be permitted to park along Trustees Road,” read a statement from the Town.

The lot is expected to re-open prior to Memorial Day weekend, which is May 25-27.
