The Post Avenue shop’s ticket is the second $3 million Bonus Stars top prize claimed in Nassau in six weeks
A top-prize-winning ticket on the New York Lottery’s $3,000,000 Bonus Stars game was sold at Charmy Creation Super Convenience in Westbury, according to lottery officials.
The prize was claimed by BEAC 1998 Limited Liability Company of Westbury, which chose to receive a one-time lump sum of $1.33 million after required withholdings.
Lottery winners sometimes collect through a trust or a limited liability company to keep their names out of the spotlight and to help manage the money for estate-planning purposes.
The win at Charmy’s, located at 129 Post Ave., comes just six weeks after another Nassau County store sold a top prize on the same game. Torres Deli & Grocery, 84A Broadway in Freeport, sold the ticket claimed in August by the Ronald Stuckey Revocable Trust of Freeport, which also collected a $1.33 million payout.
Lottery officials said there’s still one $3 million top prize left on the Bonus Stars ticket.
