A Mega Millions winning ticket worth $1 million was sold on Tuesday at a BP gas station in Shirley, New York Lottery officials announced today.
The second-prize ticket was purchased for Tuesday’s Mega Millions drawing. It was the drawing’s only second-prize winner in New York state. BP is located at 741 Montauk Highway.
The winning numbers of the five white balls drawn were 34, 55, 59, 65 and 70. The Mega Ball selected was 12. Winning numbers for Mega Millions are drawn from a field of one to 70. The Mega Ball is drawn from a separate field of one to 25.
The Mega Millions drawing is televised every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m.
