A 22-year-old woman was seriously hurt late Monday when she smashed her car into a house on West 19th Street in Huntington Station, Suffolk police said.
Allison Schneider of Huntington Station was driving west about 10:15 p.m. when she lost control of her 2013 Hyundai Elantra and slammed into a house at 186 West 19th St., police said. The home is just two doors down from where Schneider lives, according to address records.
Schneider was taken to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Police impounded the Hyundai for a safety check.
A Fire Marshal responded and determined the crash did not cause structural damage to the home, authorities said.
