If you require a little bit more quality time than mall Santa has to offer, there are several options within the Greater Patchogue area, from restaurants to community centers, to the New Village complex.

So go have a meal with the man of the season.

Below is your complete guide.


Saturday, December 3

9 – 11 a.m.: Pancake Breakfast with Saint Nicholas at Emanuel Lutheran, Patchogue – The Pancake Breakfast with Saint Nicholas celebrates the true meaning of Christmas. There are crafts for the kids and a small gift for each child. The menu includes pancakes, sausage or bacon, juice, milk and coffee.

Cost: $8 for adults; $5 for kids ages 4-12; free for kids 3 and under. There is an option to create an ornament for $2 and each professional photo with Santa will be $7.

10 a.m. – noon: Home for the Holidays at St. Joseph’s College, Patchogue – Home for the Holidays includes a fun visit with Santa Claus and a tasty breakfast buffet that includes scrambled eggs, home fries, Challah French Toast, bagels and gluten-free options. The kids can create holiday crafts and make their own reindeer food. There will be live entertainment by the College’s dance club, dance team and a cappella group and the English Club will host a story time. As for the photos with Santa, this one has a real beard. You cannot pay at the door, so you will need to register in advance at alumni.sjcny.edu/HH16.

Cost: $15 per person; free for children under 3.

10 a.m.: Breakfast with Santa at the Bellport Community Center, Bellport – The Village of Bellport and the Bellport Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Breakfast with Santa and a toy drive for Toys for Tots. For reservations, call 631.286.0307.

Cost: $5 for all.

(Later that night is Bellport’s parade and another chance to sit with Santa.)

6 p.m.: New Village at Patchogue apartments, Patchogue – New Village is hosting tree lighting festivities from 6 p.m. to 8:30 pm. Santa will be on the scene, as well as singing carolers, hot chocolate, cupcakes, and an outdoor movie, ElfThis is a free event but guests are being asked to bring an unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots.

Sunday, December 4

8 a.m.: Breakfast with Santa at Hagerman Fire Department, East Patchogue – The Hagerman Fire Department will be serving up pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, coffee, tea and juice. There will be plenty of opportunities to snap a photo with Santa, so make sure to bring your camera.

Cost: $10 for adults; $5 for children 6-11; free for children 5 and under.

8 a.m., 10 a.m. and noon: Breakfast with Santa at the Medford Fire Department, Medford – Not only can you have breakfast with Santa, but you can also get some of your holiday shopping done at a holiday gift and craft fair. The menu includes pancakes, sausage, bacon, juice, coffee and tea. There will also be photos with Santa, raffles and a 50/50. Tickets should be purchased in advance, so call Carole at 631.398.6774 between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. for yours.

Cost: $10 for adults; $5 for children 10 and under; free for infants.

8 – 10 a.m.: Breakfast with Santa at Applebee’s, Patchogue – The NY Bully Crew is hosting a Breakfast with Santa and Applebee’s is serving up pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs, coffee, tea, and juice or soda. Among the fun activities will be face painting, festive temporary tattoos and photos with Santa for children or dogs. Everyone is asked to bring an unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots and children are encouraged to bring their letters for Santa. Reservations are required, so call Stacey at 631.988.2948 to make sure you get a seat.

Cost: $10 for breakfast and a photo with Santa; $10 for photo without breakfast.

10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.: Breakfast with Santa at The Oar, Patchogue – At The Oar, you can have breakfast with Santa while overlooking the Patchogue River. Diners are permitted to take photos with the man in red. Reservations are required because there are two separate seatings for breakfast; call 631.654.8266 to make yours.

Cost: $23 for adults; $15 for children 10 and under.

10 a.m. – noon: Breakfast with Santa at the Bellport Country Club, Bellport – The elegant atmosphere and live caroling set the mood for this holiday breakfast. If you bring a gift for your child, Santa will present it to him or her when they meet. The extensive breakfast buffet includes house-made muffins, danishes, honey-glazed ham, sausage links and scrambled eggs. Reservations can be made by calling 631.286.4227.

Cost: $26 for adults; $15 for children 2-10 years old.

Saturday, December 10

7 a.m. – 1 p.m.: Breakfast with Santa at the Village Idiot Pub, Patchogue – At VIP, you can get your photo with Santa and also choose your breakfast off special event menus for kids and adults with items like Sausage Biscuits (sausage gravy served over homemade biscuits topped with their own sausage patty with home fries on the side).

Bring an unwrapped toy to receive 10 percent off of your bill. All toys will go to children at local hospitals through the John Theissen Children’s Foundation. All parties of six or more should call 631-289-8471 to make a reservation.

Sunday, December 11

11 a.m.: Snacks with Santa at the Patchogue Family YMCA, Patchogue – Details were not present at the time of posting, but will be updated when information becomes available.

Saturday, December 17

9 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Breakfast with Santa at MoMo’s Too, Bayport – Bring a new, unwrapped toy for Santa to deliver to a child at Stony Brook Hospital to help brighten their holiday. The breakfast buffet is $5 for children, who get a free orange juice, and $10 for adults, who get a free mimosa.

Children under 4 are free. Bring your Christmas list and take a picture with Santa. Please call Rich at 516-635-3554 for reservations.

Cost: $5 for children and $10 for adults. Free for kids under 4.

Sunday, December 18

10 and 10:30 a.m., 1 and 1:30 p.m.: Holiday Buffet with Santa at Mill Pond Country Club, Medford – There are a variety of choices for breakfast and lunch through Anthony Matthew Caterers at Mill Pond Country Club. For the kids, there is a Little Elf Kids Buffet that includes PB&J, chicken nuggets, waffle fries and pasta. There are breakfast and lunch entrees for the adults and an omelet station, a salad station and a carving station. Everyone can enjoy the Holiday Dessert Table offering cookies, pastries and brownies. To top it all off, attendees can visit an ice cream bar, a chocolate fountain and try some festive ­­­­­beverages. For reservations, call 631.320.0061 or email sales@amcmillpond.com.
