The YMCA Boulton Center‘s 2017 lineup is growing by the day, and the Bay Shore theater is attracting more and more globally recognized acts such as Lisa Loeb (March 30) and Candlebox (March 11).
Buster Poindexter (Jan. 20) and Vanessa Carlton (March 9) will also be making a stop downtown this year, as previously reported.
Lisa Loeb, the singer of the 1995 smash hit Stay (I Missed You) has already performed at the 261-seat Boulton Center, as has Vanessa Carlton and Buster Poindexter.
This will be grunge-era rock band Candlebox’s first appearance on West Main Street.
“It’s really exiting, especially with some of these acts coming for the first time, like Candlebox, and I’m working on some others that can’t quite be announce yet,” said Boulton Center director Michele Rizzo.
Rizzo said she had just confirmed the Violin Femmes featuring Bella Strings (video above).
“These ladies play AC/DC, Metallica, Jimmy Hendrix, and all on violins,” she said. “I’m sure that’s going to be really cool.”
