Coney Island Brewery Company will be bringing a very Coney Island-style competition to Patchogue Village during Friday’s Family Fun Night festivities.
The brewery will be running a hot dog-eating contest at Village Idiot Pub.
“Dare one of your friends to compete,” urged Village Idiot GM Maureen Passantino. “Or just come check it out. Why not? It’s fun and just a different thing to do on Main Street.”
The contest kicks off at 7 p.m. at the Village Idiot Pub, located at 8 East Main Street.
The participant to eat the most hot dogs in one minute wins.
Anyone looking to compete can call the restaurant at 631-289-8471, or stop by to sign up.
The winner will receive two free Brooklyn Cyclone tickets and a free brewery tour.
Coney Island Brewery will be offering 16-ounce cans of Mermaid Pilsner all night for $4, as well as $4 pints of Home Plate Pale Ale.
