Town planners will be hosting an informational meeting concerning the Heartland Town Square development proposal Thursday, March 30, at 11 a.m. at Islip Town Hall.
The informational meeting will be before the Islip Town Board and is open to the public.
There is no public portion during this meeting, town officials noted, though a public hearing will be held at a future Change of Zone meeting.
Public comments can also be submitted using this online form through April 25.
Earlier this year, the Suffolk Planning Commission unanimously voted to recommend the Town Board grant a zoning change that would allow for the development at the Pilgrim State Psychiatric Center property in Brentwood, Newsday reports.
