The parking lot at the Westfield South Shore Mall packed out on Monday night for the Town of Islip’s free outdoor screening of “Mary Poppins Returns.”
The event is part of an ongoing drive-in movie series the town plans to host throughout the township during the summer.
“This is an incredible kick-off to what we anticipate will be a family favorite this summer,” said Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter.
The series, sponsored by the Catholic Health Services of Long Island, will run weekly around the town through September. Make sure to check the town’s Facebook page for the next flick.
