The YMCA Boulton Center for the Performing Arts has just announced its fall lineup, with known acts such as Tiffany (Sept. 9) and the 10,000 Maniacs (Nov. 18) set to take the stage in Bay Shore as the leaves fall.

Dancing with the Stars 20th season winner Rumer Willis and her “Over the Love Tour (A Postmodern Cabaret)” will also be making a stop downtown.

“I think there’s something for everybody,” said Boulton Center director Michele Rizzo.

Two dozen performances are booked so far, with many more to come.

“One thing I’m also looking to do is bring up-in-coming, independent artists as well,” Rizzo added.

Outside of music, comedian Jackie “The Jokeman” Martling of The Howard Stern Show fame will appearing again at the 261-seat Boulton Center on West Main Street, at 8 p.m. on Oct. 1.

The fall season gets rolling Sept. 8 with folk singer and songwriter Joe Purdy.

Also, for the first time, the Boulton Center will be hosting school-age performances, hooking up with Stagelight Entertainment of Lindenhurst for a Halloween show and Christmas show. (Check the Boulton Center calendar for additional details, when they become available.)

“This is something very new to us,” Rizzo said of the children’s shows. “We had really wanted to wait for the right opportunity to offer both great quality and affordability for the community.”

Tiffany, whose full name is Tiffany Darwish, is a former teen icon from the mid- to -late-1980s. The singer, songrwriter and actress is best known for her 1987 cover of “I Think We’re Alone Now,” originally recorded by Tommy James and the Shondells in 1967.

The 10,000 Maniacs, one of the more critically acclaimed bands in the past three decades, added Mary Ramsey as its lead singer and violinist in 1994, after Natalie Merchant embarked on a successful solo career.
