Fashion show fun in Sayville as business owners support Paper Doll Vintage Boutique

|
Business owners from Sayville and other nearby communities rallied around the Paper Doll Vintage Boutique Friday night for The Paper Doll Vintage Fashion Show Benefit Gala.
GreaterSayville.com’s Brianna Harmon was there, documenting all the fun. See her photos below the story.
Proceeds from the fundraiser — hosted by the Greater Sayville Chamber of Commerce at Sayville’s VFW hall — will help the boutique recover from a predatory business lending scam that lead to the closure of Paper Doll’s Huntington store and nearly shuttered the Sayville shop.
“We are overwhelmed by the support of our community,” said Paper Doll owner Dominique Maciejka. “It’s wonderful that we were able to turn something so negative and devastating into such a positive and fun experience to help us get through this tough time.”

The fashion show featured eight models, dressed in outfits that illustrated the evolution of 20th century vintage style. Greater Sayville Chamber of Commerce President Eileen Tyznar was among those strutting up the runway. The event included live music from The Jewel Tones, food from local restaurants and raffle prizes donated by local businesses.
