Bay Shore High School physical education teacher and varsity girls softball coach Jaclyn Pasquerella was recently inducted into the Villanova Athletic Hall of Fame.
Pasquerella, who graduated from Villanova in 2001, was one of the best softball players in school history, receiving All-Regional honors during all four of her seasons with the team.
She still holds the school records for career batting average (.400), career hits (274), season batting average (.470), season hits (93) and season stolen bases (28).
She is second all-time at Villanova in career stolen bases (79) and ninth in career runs (103).
Pasquerella earned NFCA Academic All-American honors in 2001.
