|

FuscoTwo East Islip Middle School students will see their artwork displayed at the Long Island Children’s Museum in Garden City in October in celebration of National Arts and Humanities Month.

They will also be honored at an upcoming ceremony at LIU’s Post campus in Brookville next month.

That’s because Alexa Fusco and Alexis Barber took 1st and 3rd place, respectively, in the grades 6-8 category in the island-wide Arts Alive LI 2016 Poster Contest, it was announced today.

Alexa and Alexis, who are both entering East Islip High School in September, were among more than a dozen art students in Frances Weller’s art classes to participate.

Arts Alive LI is a program of the Long Island Arts Alliance.
