Islip announces extended July 4 beach, pool and spray park hours

From the Town of Islip:

Due to the warmer temperatures expected for the holiday, and in response to resident’s requests, the Town of Islip will be extending beach, pool and lifeguarding hours on July 4 as follows:

Ocean beaches will close at 6 p.m.; bay beaches and the town’s  Shipwreck Cove Spray Park in Bay Shore will close at 7 p.m.; Byron and Casamento Pools will close at 7:30 p.m.

Bayport Beach is open weekends only, and East Islip Beach opens for the season on July 8.
