Cub Scouts, Disney princesses and the Port Jefferson Fire Department paraded down Main Street Sunday afternoon.
It was all part of Port Jefferson’s annual Christmas parade, which is sponsored by the Port Jeff Chamber of Commerce. While it downpoured, it didn’t stop people from lining the streets, albeit under sheltered awnings and umbrellas.
The Grinch and cub scouts threw out candy canes and a troop from the Shine Dance Academy performed, candy canes in hand. Santa Claus was the star of the show, who waved to children atop a horse-drawn sleigh.
