The children and teens are back to school in Greater Bay Shore.
And the three districts within the greaterbayshore.com coverage area shared these great photos and district updates with us.
Students returned to Bay Shore schools on Wednesday (video), a day after their neighbors in the Islip and East Islip districts.
Bay Shore Superintendent Joseph Bond spoke of steps being taken to expand educational opportunities to students, including work that’s starting at the vacant Armory on Brentwood Road, which will be transformed into a Universal Pre-K Facility.
At Islip High School, peer ambassadors were on hand to assist incoming freshmen (last two photos).
There are some changes afoot in East Islip, namely outgoing Connetquot Elementary School Principal Deborah Smith getting set to take over at John F. Kennedy Elementary School.
