The third annual Fire Island Pirate Festival runs from noon to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 1., at Kismet.
The festival, which is highlighted by a pirate and mermaid parade, serves as a fundraiser for the Bohlsen Family Emergency Department at Southside Hospital.
There will be plenty of raffle prizes and giveaways.

J Haus Band is auctioning a private performance at the home of the winner.
The prize includes a four-hour performance as well as a tray of food from each of the following Bay Shore, Babylon and Brightwaters restaurants:
Verde Kitchen & Cocktails, Southside, Tullulah’s, Salt & Barrel, Aji 53, Henley’s Village Tavern, The Lakehouse, Post Office Cafe and the coming-soon Coastal Kitchen & Daiquiri Bar.
The auction will take place live and the highest bidder wins.
The Bay Shore-based J Haus Band has been playing bars and clubs from Fire Island to Manhattan for nearly a decade. The group consists of “J Haus” on guitar and vocals, Bobby Digital on guitar and vocals, Chris Elsener on bass and John Lomanaco on drums.
Tuesday’s festival also features a boat decorating contest at the Kismet Inn Restaurant & Marina, wine, cheese and sprits tastings and the Rum Runner Competition hosted by Surf’s out
Kids 3-11 can participate in a treasure hunt, pirate school, pirate tennis or pirate yoga.
