25 Photos: Thousands gather for Miller Place-Rocky Point St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Cops issue important alerts ahead of St. Patrick's Day Parade in Miller Place and Rocky Point.

Thousands of residents of Miller Place, Rocky Point, Sound Beach and other neighboring communities lined Route 25A Sunday afternoon to take in the 71st annual Miller Place-Rocky Point St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Stretching three miles long, the parade kicked off in Miller Place at the corner of Route 25A and Harrison Avenue. Marchers proceeded east along Route 25A and down North Country Road, finishing on Broadway in Rocky Point.

The marchers included bagpipe and high school bands, vintage cars, local fire departments and other emergency service units, community and youth organizations, and musical performances
