The Fall Harvest is fully underway at Brightwaters Farms in Bay Shore

|

It’s among the biggest fall attractions in Suffolk County outside of the East End.

And Brightwaters Farms is about to head into its biggest weekend of the season: Columbus Day weekend. The annual Fall Harvest in Bay Shore kicked off last weekend, Sept. 30 and Oct. 1., and runs through Oct. 29.

Among all the attractions at Brightwaters Farms are real pumpkin patches where families are free to roam. There’s a ring of bounce houses, pony and hay rides, an assortment of farm animals, performances from jugglers and musicians — as well as plenty of food.

This year the Fall Harvest will feature beer exclusively from Great South Bay Brewery and Fire Island Brewing Co., which are both housed together at 25 Drexel Drive.

“They’re not even a 10-minute walk down the block,” said Fall Harvest director Matt Cantore said.
