The historic Second Avenue Firehouse kicked off its “Of and About Wood” exhibit with a reception Sunday afternoon in Bay Shore.

“Of and About Wood” showcases the work of artists and artisans.

The reception was followed by a concert from known NYC musicians Eddie Barbash and Sam Reider.

There will be additional showcases and a market from noon to 4 p.m. on Oct. 21 and 22, also at the firehouse. Many of the works are for sale. Artists will also accept commissions for custom work.
