30 Photos: Lindenhurst’s first-ever ‘Wednesdays on Wellwood’ street fest

|

The Lindenhurst community went all out for the first night of the village’s new street festival series, Wednesdays on Wellwood.

Hundreds flocked to the downtown to enjoy a night of music, shopping, and great eats.

The kickoff last night to Wednesdays on Wellwood, sponsored by the Lindenhurst Chamber of Commerce, started at 5 p.m. and ran until 9 p.m.

Streets were shut down on Wellwood Avenue from Hoffman Avenue to John Street for the outing.

There were dozens of vendors serving up all kinds of food, like Belfast Gastro Pub, Bakuto, Restoration Kitchen, and more.

Local Lindy breweries like Sand City Brewing Co. and 27A Brewing Co. poured out some brews too.

There were also plenty of kid-friendly activities like mini-golf, bouncy castles, face painting and slime-making.

Wednesdays on Wellwood will happen again on Sept. 1 at the same time and place. Follow greaterbabylon.com for updates.
